You need to be able to create an accessible learning environment and use language-developing teaching methods as well as formative assessment in your instruction. You are expected to create good relationships, a positive learning climate, and a structured learning environment where interest in learning flourishes. A positive attitude and ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents are essential. You need to be familiar with the curriculum and keep yourself informed about research and developments in your subject. You should be able to make relevant choices regarding teaching materials and methodology. As a confessional Christian school, we value your personal faith. We are seeking a certified English teacher for grades 5-6. The employment level is 22%, but if you are certified in any of the other subjects we are looking for, it is possible to combine and increase the employment level.
