The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse disorders. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this at youth facilities and homes for adults with substance abuse disorders throughout the country. SiS Youth Facility Råby accepts both girls and boys. We have both closed and open placements for closed youth care as well as treatment places for young people placed under the Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act. Job Description As a treatment secretary at Råby, you will have varied and exciting work. The treatment secretary's task is to coordinate and plan care and treatment for children, young people and clients, and to ensure that work with the individual is conducted in accordance with SiS standardized treatment and implementation planning processes. This can include everything from working with young people in the unit together with treatment pedagogues to leading meetings with the social services and planning for the young people's treatment. As a treatment secretary, you are responsible for documentation and treatment planning in consultation with the unit manager. The role involves working in a team with other functions such as psychologist, teacher, treatment pedagogues, and others. You also maintain close contact with social services and the young people's networks. The assignment as treatment secretary may also include the role of acting unit manager. Qualifications SiS is undergoing comprehensive development and change of core operations that needs to be strengthened through competency supply. The work places great demands on personal suitability, especially regarding conduct and treatment. You should have a genuine interest in treatment work, well-founded positive view of people, and the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations while maintaining high security awareness. You must be flexible, able to periodically handle high workload, and be able to work both independently and in a group. You must also have: A university degree of at least 210 credits in social or behavioral sciences, such as a degree in social work, or a university degree of 180 credits in behavioral sciences, or other higher education deemed to meet SiS guidelines for competency requirements for coordinating/planning treatment work. Experience working in activities focused on care and treatment, such as social services or other relevant activities. Knowledge relevant to the role regarding legislation, ethics, and approaches. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and orally. Class B driver's license Meritorious: Leadership experience. Knowledge and experience of treatment work with young people. If you have previously worked in compulsory care. Documentation experience regarding social investigations and exercise of authority. At SiS we value good collegiality.
