About the Organization State Institutional Care Authority, SiS, is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse. SiS youth home Gudhemsgården receives non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has just undergone an organizational change, from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting build-up phase. Currently, the institution consists of four units but will expand to five units with a total of 31 places during the coming year. Job Description Do you want to work with young people in critical developmental phases of life? Young people who have lost their way and need help finding their way forward. We offer work with highly varied tasks and challenges. You will meet all types of personalities, psychological problems, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. You will encounter substance abuse and criminality, but you will also meet the person behind the diagnosis and behavioral problem. This is much of the satisfaction in the work: following a young person's development from hopelessness and acting out in a life-determining process toward a more dignified life with housing, relationships, education, and work. We are now expanding our quality unit with a treatment secretary; we are looking for someone like you who wants to participate, influence, and make a difference. As a treatment secretary at Gudhemsgården, you are part of the quality unit; you will be one of five treatment secretaries. We offer an interesting and pleasant workplace with varied and stimulating work tasks. As a treatment secretary, you are an active part of the interdisciplinary team. The team carries out dynamic work on target group assessments by working with structured risk, needs, and responsiveness assessments. You are also responsible for ensuring that young people receive appropriate interventions in accordance with the assignment, develop treatment plans, and work to make the young person involved in their treatment. The treatment secretary follows up on treatment goals and follows up on the documentation of interventions. The treatment secretary convenes and leads meetings around the young person's placement and is a central part of leading the work with care interventions. The work is carried out in collaboration with the placing municipalities' social services and the institution's various expert functions such as psychologists, teachers, special educators, nurses, and treatment educators. An important part of your position includes guidance and coaching for care staff in their daily work and ensuring that documentation is carried out in accordance with guidelines. The work is varied and demands flexibility and responsibility. It means in extensive parts that you are a structure bearer, meticulous and organized. You understand the value and context of collaboration; it is natural for you to guide and support your colleagues. You are the initiator who anchors and implements decisions. Gudhemsgården currently has two treatment units for non-school-age boys and two assessment units MBB – Reception and Needs Assessment, where the focus is to stabilize the young person's situation and well-being and stop criminality, substance abuse, or other socially destructive behavior. You will have primary responsibility for planning for young people in one of our units. Qualifications Relevant academic education as a social worker or other behavioral science education that the employer deems equivalent and comprising at least 180 credits. Documented experience of independent planning work and, if possible, leadership experience to implement planned interventions together with other professional groups. Experience working with young people and/or institutional care is meritorious, as is training in structured risk and needs assessment instruments.
