The Swedish Prison and Probation Service, SiS, is a public authority responsible for individually tailored involuntary care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Institution Hässleholm is a secure facility with two admission and needs assessment (MBB) departments, four treatment departments, and an aftercare unit. At Karlsvik in Höör, we also have an open discharge preparation department. We primarily admit school-age boys, but also girls, aged 12-15 years with ongoing criminal activity and in some cases substance abuse issues. Job Description We offer an interesting and pleasant workplace with varied and stimulating tasks. As a treatment secretary, you are an active part of the dynamic work with target group assessments by working with structured risk, needs, and responsiveness assessments. You are also responsible for ensuring that young people receive appropriate interventions in accordance with the mandate, you develop treatment plans, and you follow up on treatment goals. The work is conducted in collaboration with placing municipalities' social services and the youth institution's various expert functions such as psychologists, teachers, special education teachers, nurses, and treatment educators. The position is currently directed toward one of our Admission and Needs Assessment (MBB) departments, but employment as a treatment secretary applies to the youth institution as a whole, and changes in target group and specific department may in the future occur based on both personal development wishes and changes in the authority's mandate and thus the workplace's needs. Qualifications Relevant academic education as a social worker or other behavioral science education that the employer deems equivalent and that comprises at least 180 credits. Documented experience of independent planning work and, if possible, leadership experience to implement planned interventions together with other professional groups. Experience working with young people and/or institutional care is a merit, as is training in structured risk and needs assessment instruments such as YLS/CMI, SAVRY, or ERASOR. As a person, you are interested in driving and developing care for young people, keep yourself informed about current research, and are capable of handling complex assignments. You must be able to manage stressful situations, have the courage to set boundaries, and be consistent. You must have a good ability to build relationships both with young people and colleagues, and thrive in an environment with periodically high tempo and deadlines. Strong language skills in speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Employment: The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
