The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is an agency responsible for individually tailored involuntary care for youth with complex psychosocial challenges and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS LVM Home Renforsen in Vindeln serves men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. The institution is tasked with providing care for clients with special resource needs. Job Description: Do you want to make the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment pedagogue/treatment assistant at SiS LVM Home Renforsen is a meaningful challenge. We are now seeking up to 10 temporary workers who can cover shifts as needed during day/evening/weekends and night. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment pedagogue/treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that department routines function as they should. You play a major role in stability and security for our clients, and provide the foundation for daily life including cleaning, cooking, participating in activities and meetings, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work to build secure relationships and help our clients receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment pedagogues/treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, which guides our approach, commitment, and attitude. Work hours are scheduled as needed for day, evening, weekend, or night shifts. As a new employee at SiS LVM Home Renforsen, you will complete a one-week local introductory training, after which you will be trained on the ward with a designated mentor. All parts of the introduction and training will prepare you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications: Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a firmly grounded positive view of human nature, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field.* Class B driving license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written *Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Regulation (2025:468). It is advantageous if you have: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example in psychiatry or disability care services (LSS). Experience from client-facing positions at other state agencies Education in health and social care Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care At SiS, we value good working relationships. There will be the possibility to work both individual shifts and longer periods. The schedule can be distributed across day/evening/weekend at 100 percent, while night shifts are at 79.1 percent.
