About the Operation SiS Youth Residential Facility Gudhemsgården admits non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Residential Facility Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational change, transitioning from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting expansion phase. Currently, the facility consists of four units but will expand to more units over the coming year. We prioritize staff-to-youth ratios and will be expanding our personnel, which is why we are now recruiting additional staff for our operations. SiS Youth Residential Facility Gudhemsgården operates outside of Falköping. Job Description Do you want to make a vital difference in the lives of vulnerable people? If so, a position as a Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is right for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that unit routines function as intended. You play a major role in providing stability and security for our young people and form the foundation for daily life activities such as schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. The work can be physically demanding at times, as you need to participate in physical activities with the young people and respond to emergency calls. You help maintain order and security at the facility according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our young people receive the security and safety they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of committed colleagues, such as treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our philosophy. Working hours follow a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. As a new employee, you will participate in SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Category B driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
