About the Organization SiS Youth Institution Gudhemsgården admits non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial difficulties, criminal behavior, and substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Institution Gudhemsgården has just undergone an organizational change, transitioning from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting development phase. Currently, the institution consists of four units but will expand to more during the coming year. We prioritize staffing levels and will be expanding our team; therefore, we are now recruiting additional personnel for our operations. SiS Youth Institution Gudhemsgården operates outside of Falköping. Job Description Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then a position as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is right for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment pedagogue, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that routines on the unit function as they should. You play a significant role in stability and security for our young people and form the foundation of daily life, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work can be physically demanding at times, as you need to participate in physical activities with young people and respond to emergencies. You help maintain order and safety at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help our young people gain the security they need to break established behavioral patterns. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, commitment, and mindset. Working hours are scheduled with day, evening, and weekend shifts. As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be directed toward social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Category B driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Your personal suitability is key to life-changing work. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
