Then working as a Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken is planning to start a new discharge preparation unit outside the institutional grounds and is therefore seeking Treatment Pedagogues. Work assignments may take place on a locked unit until the new discharge preparation unit is ready. As a Treatment Pedagogue on our discharge preparation unit, you will be an important part of the youth's journey toward a more independent life. The unit is part of the institution, where you work closely with the youth in their daily lives. You work in a team with other Treatment Pedagogues, a group leader, and a treatment secretary. The unit is led by a unit manager. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the youth living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. Youth in our open and discharge preparation units will live and spend their leisure time in apartments or other housing outside the youth home. The youth attend external school or have work placements. Your focus is to support the youth in establishing and maintaining functioning strategies and skills for a life outside the youth home. You follow and support youth in activities such as school/work placements and in contact with, for example, healthcare, as well as during leisure time and at home with practical and social matters. Treatment activities mainly consist of skills training aimed at preparing the youth for a functioning life after their time at SiS, both practically and socially. Skills training also means implementing new strategies developed in treatment into everyday life outside the youth home. Your role is to be a secure adult support, to guide, and to create structure in daily life. With support from your knowledge in social care and treatment work, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, and you contribute to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You also help ensure security is maintained according to our procedures. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and whose drive is to work with youth. As a person, you relate to others in a responsive and flexible way, while being able to set boundaries and follow made decisions. You collaborate well with your colleagues and are reliable, stable, and have the ability to maintain a professional approach. We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school, vocational school, or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field. Good Swedish, spoken and written Driver's License Category B Meritorious if you have: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as in psychiatry, residential care, substance abuse treatment, criminal justice, or care and welfare services. Knowledge and experience with NPF diagnoses. Employment: The positions are permanent full-time appointments that begin with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
