Treatment Educator - Intimate Partner Violence and Honor-Related Violence

Our operations include both secure residential facilities, supported housing (both secure and non-secure) for teenagers, as well as family/emergency care homes. Our operations are conducted under a license from IVO in all areas. Our work is always based on the individual's needs, circumstances, and life situation. We primarily work with target groups such as: * Individuals needing protection due to intimate partner violence * Individuals needing protection due to honor-related violence * Individuals who cannot live at home due to conflict-filled or otherwise inadequate home conditions Our goal is to create a trustful and motivating everyday life in a home-like and safe environment, with a care chain characterized by structure, continuity, and qualified staff. Here there is room for the individual's experiences, feelings, and processes with the aim of strengthening the individual's self-esteem, independence, and trust in the future. We work to provide our residents with individually adapted tools and support in their development based on their age, background, and individual-specific needs. This can, for example, be support in processing difficult experiences, developing strategies for daily life, and having the opportunity to explore their identity and resources. In close collaboration with each individual, we strive to create conditions for a safe and independent life with increased participation, self-determination, and the ability to make active choices for their own future. The Role The position involves work at our supported housing facility (work with teenagers aged 16-21), secure residential facilities (adults and accompanying children), as well as support for family/emergency care homes, i.e., all parts of our care chain. As a treatment educator, you work from current procedures and guidelines as well as the residents' individual needs and wishes to plan and carry out interventions. The position is varied, and as a treatment educator, you are responsible in daily work for meeting and working with clients in a safe, stable, and professional manner. In our operations, we work from a pedagogical and low-arousal approach. Together with colleagues and managers, you work to create meaningful and enriching days with a focus on building an independent everyday life even after the placement ends. Your work tasks include, among other things, key worker responsibilities, client work, care and safety planning, contacts with authorities, and documentation. The work also includes everyday tasks and activities that contribute to a safe, structured, and pleasant living environment, such as household chores. You support and guide on matters such as meals, exercise, cleaning, finances, leisure interests, school contact, and communication. The role also includes planning, following up, and documenting interventions based on applicable care and implementation plans. You should be practical and solution-focused and, when needed, be able to set appropriate boundaries to create clarity and safety—but also be able to guide clients in doing this themselves. You should enjoy working independently and have great personal responsibility in your daily work, but with close collaboration with the rest of the work team. Having a structured approach to work and being able to make prioritization assessments is of great importance. Being flexible is an important part of the work as we work with authorities and with people where there are rapidly changing needs. Qualifications It is very positive if you have documented education and experience in the areas of intimate partner violence, honor-related violence, and working with people in crisis. Furthermore, it is a great advantage if you have experience working with children who have witnessed/been exposed to violence. Education in TMO, MI, FREDA, SARA, Ladder Conversations, and PATRIARK as well as language skills (beyond Swedish and English) are also merits. * At least 2 years of post-secondary education in social work, care, or health work * Knowledge of BBIC and SOL * Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and computer skills * B-class driver's license and a clean police background check * Education in Patriark/Sara, MI, Ladder Conversations, empowerment, or TMO is a merit. * Great weight is placed on personal qualities The position involves 5 shifts per week with flexible working hours. You will be involved in your scheduling but need to be able to work both day and evening shifts, as well as some weekends if needed. It may also be relevant to employ staff at 50-75% of full-time as well as temporary/as-needed staff, so please feel free to submit your CV even if you cannot work 100%.
