SiS Youth Home Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse issues. We are tasked with providing care for youth with special care needs and receive boys sentenced to closed youth care (LSU).

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing care for vulnerable people? Then the position as treatment assistant/treatment educator at SiS is a meaningful challenge!
As a treatment assistant/treatment educator, you work in a team and together you are responsible for ensuring that the youth living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide daily support. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and assist in ensuring daily routines run smoothly with schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. Primary contact work is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied!

Work hours are scheduled shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will participate in SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and find it easy to build relationships with youth as well as other team members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
As a treatment assistant, you must have:
Completed upper secondary education
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example in psychiatry, residential care facilities, or care and social services
B-category driver's license
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
For employment as a treatment educator, you must also have:
A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from higher education deemed equivalent
Meriting factors:
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a probation officer
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., case officer at the detention facility

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time role with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
