Job Description
Would you like to help create life-changing transformation for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. We are currently recruiting hourly temporary staff at SiS Långanäs!
As a treatment assistant, you work in a team with treatment educators and treatment coordinators, collectively ensuring that the youth (non-compulsory school-age boys) in our care receive the safety, care, and treatment they need.
We frequently work with people in crisis, which means you engage in skilled care and motivation work and provide everyday support. Drawing on your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively help implement treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and program evaluation. You help maintain safety according to our procedures and contribute to smooth daily operations including schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. Contact person responsibilities are also part of your duties. This is work for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathic ability, and the capacity to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field. - Exceptions to the requirement for minimum two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Swedish Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
Class B driver's license
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Meritorious Qualifications:
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., Prison Officer
Security Guard training
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., officer at the Detention Unit
Education in care and healthcare
Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young boys)

Employment:
This position is a temporary contract for hourly staff. There is also a 3-day orientation required before you can work directly with clients, plus shadowing with regular staff.
