Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge.
As a treatment assistant, you work in a team together with treatment educators and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people (non-compulsory school-age boys) who live with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need.
We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work and providing support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to ensuring that treatment plans are followed. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes, among other things, to legal security, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and you contribute to ensuring that everyday life runs smoothly with schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. Being a key contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new staff and interns. This is a job for you if you see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications:
Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant subject area. - Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Regulation (2025:468).
Class B driving license
Good Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious requirements:
Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a Correctional Officer
Security guard training
Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., handler at the Detention Unit
Education in care and welfare
Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young boys)

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
We also have 3 days of introduction that must be completed before you as an employee can work directly with clients, as well as shadowing with regular staff. As a new employee, you will also complete SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks.

Interviews and selection take place on an ongoing basis. During the summer period, selection and feedback will take somewhat longer.
