The Social Services Department of Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability services area. Here we create good conditions for meeting residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, lawful, equal, and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the department, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the range changes based on Stockholmers' needs and district administrations' wishes. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and businesses. The Social Services Department is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco permits and conducts inspections. Welcome to us We're looking for you who want to make a difference for vulnerable men and women. We are now recruiting two treatment assistants with a strong interest in our target group. You will primarily work at the low-threshold drop-in center Dropin. The Krukis and Dropin activities are part of the Housing for Adults Area and have, together with the district administrations and the Homelessness Area, a mandate to support clients' process out of homelessness. The activities' interventions, based on evidence-based methods, are individually tailored. They are based on the target group's needs and the client's mandate. The activity currently has two different mandates: Dropin, a low-threshold/extended detoxification facility with 10 places, and a supported living facility with 30 places. The activity works in collaboration with Region Stockholm, the Addiction Center. Treatment assistants are on duty 24/7. Nurses are on staff every day of the week, and a doctor once a week. The integrated collaboration addresses clients' needs regarding substance abuse issues and mental health. Read more at: https://jobba.stockholm/anstallningsvillkor-och-formaner/ Your role You will primarily work at the low-threshold drop-in center Dropin, where the focus is on users' recovery and clean urine tests. Much of the work is routine-based. Your work includes: contact with the client, healthcare contacts and collaboration partners, admissions and discharges, documentation, record-keeping, etc. Many practical tasks are included, such as medication distribution, urine sample collection, making beds, cleaning, and meal preparation on weekends. Care stays at Dropin are short, averaging 4-5 days. The goal is for the client to be able to complete their treatment plan. The placement is often intended to prevent unplanned discharges from other activities or interventions. Clients at Dropin often feel poorly both physically and mentally as they may be in a withdrawal phase. At Dropin, a small work team operates where communication and documentation are important. You may also work at the planning facility where each user has a contact person. Support from the activity should prepare the user for more independent living. The activity is characterized by a motivating approach and the Housing for Adults Area's principles. Your competence and experience For this position, you must have: • Education as a treatment educator, social pedagogue, or other education that we deem equivalent. • At least 1 year of experience working with people in substance abuse, mental health issues, and somatic care. • Experience collaborating with various relevant actors for the target group, such as districts and the Region. • Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing municipalities' and regions' interventions for the target group. • Good knowledge of lawful documentation. • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious are: • Experience working with users in active substance abuse. • Experience conducting structured MI conversations according to MITI (Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity) with the target group. As a person, you are independent and have the ability to prioritize and structure your work even when situations change rapidly. You are solution-focused and flexible, with the ability to adapt to acute needs and new challenges. Your humility and respect for people in complex life situations enable you to meet users with empathy and understanding. You remain calm and maintain a realistic perspective even in pressured situations, and your personal maturity and stability help you manage the work's varying intensity. You are collaboration-oriented and build trusting relationships with both colleagues and collaboration partners. Working hours are scheduled with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for working with the target group. An MI work sample will be conducted. Interviews may be conducted during the application period.
