Job Description SiS youth home Johannisberg consists of two units, one in Sävast and one in Kalix. Our target group in Sävast is school-age girls with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. All work is guided by our core values of Respect, Consideration, and Clarity. As a new employee with us, you are offered a comprehensive introduction, basic training, and further training in areas such as security, preventing undue influence, conflict management, first aid, and more. As a treatment assistant, you work in a team on a unit together with competent colleagues who are waiting for you to become part of the team. In daily work, you help build safe relationships and motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. You play an important role in the stability of our young people and provide the foundation in daily life including schooling, activities, cooking, and cleaning. As a treatment assistant, you also contribute to maintaining security at the institution according to our guidelines and procedures. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has the ability to build trusting relationships with our young people. You have a positive view of people and your motivation is to work with young people. You share the vision of being a place for change. As a person, you relate to people in a responsive and flexible way, while at the same time being able to set boundaries and follow decisions that have been made. You are secure, stable, and have the ability to maintain a professional approach even in pressured situations. You work well with other people and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: - At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant subject area.* - Good Swedish in speech and writing - Good physical ability - Driver's license category B *Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to section 5, chapter 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468). For an exception to be granted, at least a secondary school diploma combined with relevant work experience is required. Secondary school grades/certificates issued in another country must be translated and validated in Sweden via the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). Meritorious: - Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example in psychiatry, care and support, correctional care, or equivalent Employment The positions are permanent full-time employment and begin with a 6-month probationary period.
