Your responsibilities
As a treatment assistant, you will work to foster motivation together with clients and provide support in various life areas such as addiction, mental health, housing, family, finances, and finding meaningful leisure activities. Your work includes collaboration with other professional groups, documentation, reporting, and case follow-up. You will serve as a contact person and take responsibility for the tasks associated with this role. You will also have delegation for medication administration and perform other health and healthcare-related tasks.
To provide effective support to our target group, it is important that you have a relationship-building and stable approach. You see possibilities even in complex life situations and are decisive and clear when needed.
The position also includes keeping the residence clean, neat, and functional, as well as helping and supporting clients with the same in their on-call apartments.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a solution-focused approach who is motivated by meeting people in need of motivational support. You are stable and confident in your role and can distinguish between the personal and professional in your relationships with our clients. You are calm and composed and have the ability to maintain your focus on the right things in pressured situations. You are also flexible and adapt easily to new and unexpected circumstances.
You have a YH/KY education as a treatment assistant/social pedagogue or training as a nursing assistant with a focus on psychiatry or similar as the employer finds relevant for the position. We see that you have previous experience working with addiction or mental health disabilities and good digital skills with experience in documentation. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as a large part of the work involves documentation.
Since driving is part of the job, a Category B driver's license is a requirement. You also have a good understanding of and share the values that form the basis of the municipality's operations.

Furan is one of 8 residences within the Unit for Support and Housing, under the Department of Individuals and Families in Västerås City. Furan offers 21 permanent places for people with harmful use and addiction and comorbidity. At Furan, you will provide support and assistance to clients who need it in their daily lives. Clients' support needs may vary depending on mental or physical health issues or other social difficulties, but with the client in focus, we always work for the best possible encounter.

The position includes working evenings and weekends.
In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must provide proof that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
