Job Description
Do you want to create life-changing difference for vulnerable people? If so, a position as Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that departmental routines function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our youth/clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You work to ensure that order and safety at the institution are maintained according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work to build secure relationships and help ensure our youth/clients receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

Work hours follow a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks. The training combines theory with supervised introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing impact. Therefore, you need a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to work with others and willingly share your knowledge with colleagues.
You must also have:
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field of study.*
- Category B driver's license
- Good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
Meritorious for the position:
- Experience from client-facing positions at the Correctional Service, such as Correctional Officer
- Security Guard training
- Experience from client-facing positions at the Migration Agency, such as Detention Officer
- Education within healthcare and social services
- Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young girls, etc.)

*Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
Employment:
This is a permanent full-time position with a six-month probationary period. Start date by mutual agreement.
