The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the routines on the unit function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our young people/clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life, such as schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You work to maintain order and security at the institution in accordance with our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building trusting relationships and contribute to ensuring that our young people/clients receive the security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of committed colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Working hours are scheduled day, evening, and weekend shifts. As a new employee, you will complete SiS foundational training over 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and guided introduction, equipping you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing impact. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, strong empathetic abilities, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You should also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field of study.* B-class driver's license Fluent Swedish (spoken and written) It is also advantageous if you have: Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, such as Correctional Officer Experience working at group homes, LSS facilities, or social psychiatry services Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, such as case officer at the Detention Unit Education within healthcare and elderly care Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse treatment, youth care, young girls, etc.) At SiS, we value good teamwork.
