About the Operation SiS Youth Residential Facility Gudhemsgården accepts non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Residential Facility Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational change, transitioning from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting expansion phase. Currently, the facility consists of four units, but will expand to more during the coming year. Then a position as a treatment assistant at SiS is for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the unit's routines function as they should. You play a significant role in stability and security for our young people and form the foundation of daily life activities such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work can be partially physically demanding as you need to participate in physical activities with young people and respond to alarms. You help maintain order and security at the facility according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work to build secure relationships and help ensure our young people receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of committed colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Working hours are scheduled day, evening, and weekend shifts. As a new employee, you will complete a 10-week SiS foundation training. The training combines theory with supervised introduction. The training prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications You should also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Category B driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic abilities, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
