SiS youth home Eknäs receives school-age boys aged 12-16 years with psychosocial issues, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. The facility is located just outside Enköping in a beautiful natural setting near Lake Mälaren. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. This position is for you seeking temporary work on an as-needed basis—you will be booked for vacant shifts and can register as available in our staffing system.
Job Description
Do you want to create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. Your objective is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you help ensure that departmental routines function as intended.
You play a crucial role in stability and security for our young people and clients, and you form the foundation of daily life including schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You help maintain security at the facility according to our procedures, and documentation is an important part of your work. You will work to build secure relationships and help our young people and clients gain the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing impact. Therefore, you need strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
You must also have:
Completed upper secondary education
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., within psychiatry, residential care, or health and social care
Class B driver's license
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
It is also advantageous if you have:
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work within psychiatry or LSS care
Experience in client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison Service, e.g., as a correctional officer
Security guard training
Experience in client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., officer at a detention facility
Education in health and social care
Experience working with our target group; youth care

Employment:
This is an hourly position through the end of the year with possibility for extension; start immediately.
