SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården receives non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has just undergone an organizational change, from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting expansion phase. Currently the facility consists of four units, but will expand to more during the coming year. We are focused on staffing levels and will be expanding our workforce, which is why we are now recruiting additional staff for our operations. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården operates outside Falköping. Job Description Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then a position as Treatment Assistant at SiS is for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring the routines in your unit function as they should. You play a major role in providing stability and security for our young people and form the foundation of daily life activities such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work can be physically demanding as you will need to participate in physical activities with young people and respond to alerts. You help maintain order and safety at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work to build secure relationships and help ensure our young people receive the security and safety they need to break established behavioral patterns. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our interactions, our commitment, and our approach. Working hours are scheduled shifts: day, evening, and weekends. As a new employee you will complete SiS basic training over 10 weeks. The training combines theory with supervised introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to life-changing impact. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to work with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Category B driver's license Good Swedish in speech and writing At SiS we value good teamwork.
