SiS Youth Home Bärby, located outside Uppsala, accepts non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse issues. Job Description Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the routines on the unit function properly. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our young people/clients, and form the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You are involved in maintaining order and safety at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building safe relationships and help ensure that our young people/clients receive the safety and security they need to break established behavioral patterns. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this.
