Treatment Specialist - Adult Services

Description and Responsibilities The Adult Services section consists of a government authority division and an outpatient care division. Within outpatient care (Counseling and Treatment Unit), treatment specialists, Case Managers, and a group leader work together. The target group for outpatient care is adults over 25 years old who need support and treatment due to problems with alcohol, drugs, and/or gambling. We also work with families of the target group and offer support to perpetrators and victims of violence. The work involves supporting the target group in various ways in their life situation. This can include structured treatment conversations, home visits, outreach activities, supportive and motivating conversations, as well as supervised urine and breath tests. You are expected to conduct individual treatment sessions, lead group treatment, make home visits, and support individuals with practical matters. The work requires the ability to adapt quickly, flexibility, and a willingness to step in where needed so that the individual receives the support they need. To a large extent, you take responsibility for planning your own time. Some evening shifts may occur. The operations have documentation requirements and we work in the Combine operations system. The work takes place in close collaboration with both the individual and their family members as well as with internal and external partners, which requires good cooperation skills. You will be offered external supervision with your colleagues. Qualifications and Experience We are looking for someone with at least three years of post-secondary education at a college/university in a relevant field, such as IKM or other education deemed suitable for the profession. Experience with treatment work with people with addiction problems/intimate partner violence is desirable. You have the ability to combine commitment and professional distance in your work and enjoy collaborating with others. Conditions Class B driver's license required Citizens Services Department. We work with preventive measures, investigations for children and youth, family law and foster care, early interventions for children and youth, adult support, financial assistance, and administration and service.
