About the job Lerje is a residential care home for youth in Gothenburg City, located in Hjällbo. Our target group is youth ages 14-18 placed according to SOL and LVU. Lerje has six beds and can accommodate youth for acute care, assessment, and treatment assignments. We work closely with relevant units within the various Social Services departments. An important part of the work at Lerje is collaboration and cooperation with the youth's family, other important people in the youth's network, school, relevant units within social services, and others. Within the Social Services department, we use the journal system Treserva and documentation occurs daily. The role as a care worker/social worker at Lerje is rewarding, exciting, and challenging. The work aims to provide youth with good care and support and to motivate them toward change. Care and treatment are provided around the clock, year-round. The work involves working in a team with colleagues but also solo work during parts of shifts. The work involves being a contact person for one or more youth. You are then responsible for advancing the treatment work through goal achievement with social services, conversations with youth, contact with their network, and other stakeholders. At Lerje, we work from a salutogenic and cognitive approach. We collaborate with the youth's network from a systems theory perspective. The conditions in treatment work present a practical challenge in being both flexible, adaptable, and boundary-setting at the same time. An important part of our daily work is conversations with youth, both individually and in groups. High demands are placed on collaboration with colleagues while also being able to work independently and feeling confident in making independent decisions. We reflect on our work to create good quality and a good work environment. Shifts include evening, night, and weekend work on a rolling 6-week schedule. On weekends and evenings, two care workers are on duty. The position also involves on-call duty at home certain evenings and nights. About you We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another behavioral science degree from university/college. You have at least five years of experience working at residential care homes for youth with psychosocial difficulties. It is also considered a merit if you have experience as a care worker taking full responsibility for cases and independently driving treatment work. We see that you have good experience with documentation work and experience working in Treserva. In the role of care worker/social worker, you are responsible, collaboration-oriented, and unpretentious. You have excellent interpersonal skills and find it easy to create trusting relationships and good collaborations with those you meet. You have high integrity and a professional approach to your work. Since you work with youth with significant needs over time, it is important that you are a secure and stable person with a great deal of patience. Because the work involves many contact points with other actors, you need the ability to adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. We also see that you are humble, reliable, and contribute to a good team atmosphere. We place great importance on personal suitability. A valid driver's license (category B) is required.
