The young people carry complex life experiences and have needs related to ADHD, mental health issues, relationship difficulties, or experienced trauma. Outward aggressive behavior may occur, which requires secure adults who have patience and stay present even when the situation is challenging. The target group does not involve substance abuse or criminality. About the assignment The work consists of everything from everyday activities and motivational work to supportive conversations and individually tailored treatment interventions. As a care worker, you are an important part of the young person's daily life and contribute to creating a predictable and secure environment. You work in a one-to-one setup where you follow the young person during a full 24-hour shift, from morning to handover the next day. This means that a large part of your work is carried out independently. You will be part of a supportive team with present leadership and access to regular supervision and specialist support. You will also collaborate with social services, schools, guardians, and other important people around the young person. The work also involves documentation according to applicable legal requirements. We are looking for someone who has: At least 2 years of post-secondary education in social work or behavioral science At least 1 year of experience in similar work with this target group Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing B-class driver's license We consider it meritorious if you have: Education or courses adapted for the target group Experience working with ADHD and challenging behaviors such as outward aggressive behavior, defiance, and also self-harm Knowledge of low-arousal approach and management of threats and violence Basic knowledge in BBIC Experience with journal systems Personal qualities We are looking for someone who has experience and feels confident in your professional role. You like to take responsibility and feel comfortable making your own decisions when needed. At the same time, you are curious about developing and see the value in pausing, reflecting, and considering how your own approach affects others. You have an easy time making contact with young people and understand that trust is built over time. You see the person behind the behavior and can meet different situations with calm, warmth, and clarity. Even when a young person is angry, rejecting, or challenging boundaries, you stay present with warmth, clarity, and respect. Although you work independently with the young person, there are many contact points. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, sharing experiences, and learning from others' perspectives.
