Innovitaskolan Joriel, located in beautiful Långbro Park in Fruängen, is a special school (Primary school and Adapted primary school F-9 as well as adapted upper secondary school individual program 1-4) that also includes leisure activities and short-term supervision for students with various types of physical and, in many cases, intellectual disabilities. The school has specializations in communication and conductive education. Your Assignment: More Than Just Support Your work is based on the student's right to equivalent education, regardless of school type. We operate within primary school, adapted primary school, and adapted upper secondary school. Here we work with the profiles Conductive Education (KP) and Communication, which means you become an active part of the student's motor and communicative development. Your main areas: Pedagogical Responsibility: You support learning throughout the school day. You prepare lessons with educators, adapt material according to the student's needs, and can, if needed, help lead the group based on existing plans. Communication & Motor Skills: You ensure that the student's communication aids are always present and actively used. Within the KP profile, you work consciously so that motor limitations are never a barrier to learning or participation. Physically Active Care: The role involves physically demanding moments throughout the day, including support with transfers, meal situations, self-care, and bathroom visits. You are also responsible for ensuring that all the student's aids (e.g., work chairs/walking aids, communication computers) are clean and optimally adjusted. Logistics and Collaboration Our operations are built on strong teamwork. Morning logistics determine where needs are greatest, which requires you to be flexible and step in where needed – whether in the classroom or in leisure activities. As a resource, we expect you to: Take responsibility for following established routines Ensure important information about your student is communicated. Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other colleagues and professionals. Contribute to a good work environment by maintaining order in classrooms, other school facilities, and hygiene areas. Give students the opportunity to actively participate in educational activities during the school day, during leisure time, and during vacation care. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a positive view of students and good physical health. You understand that your role is crucial for the student's ability to reach their learning goals. Professional & Proactive: You see what needs to be done, whether it's supporting a student in the classroom or helping a colleague. Reliable & Strong: You enjoy physically demanding work and see the care aspect as a natural part of the educational day. Communicative: You are skilled at using and introducing a variety of communication tools, considering that students work from primary school to adapted primary school with different curricula, and you enjoy good communication with your team. Knowledge: You have some experience or training in similar work (such as personal assistant, student assistant, or childcare worker), and if you have nursing training, that's a plus but not a requirement.
