Description
Perstorp Municipality is seeking an engaged child welfare investigator for Individual and Family Services. In Perstorp Municipality, we have short decision-making paths, close collaboration between teams, and excellent opportunities to make an impact. As a child welfare investigator, you work with authority functions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and you are responsible for investigating and following up on children and young people's need for support and protection. You work closely with colleagues, families, and partner organizations to create the best possible conditions for children and young people in the municipality.
Job Responsibilities
Your job responsibilities include, among other things:
- Conducting child and youth investigations according to applicable legislation
- Conducting child interviews, home visits, and risk/protection assessments
- Preparing decisions, care plans, and implementation plans
- Documentation according to applicable laws and organizational guidelines
- Cooperation with preschools, schools, healthcare, police, and other stakeholders
- Follow-up of interventions and support to families
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in social work
- Good knowledge of social services legislation, particularly SoL and LVU
- Category B driver's license (required for home visits and travel within the region)
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong communication skills and confidence in meeting with children, families, and partner organizations. You should have the ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and with good professionalism.
