About the Role and Your Responsibilities As a childcare worker, your mission is to ensure that each child is offered safe care, development, and learning opportunities. This means you are active in the work team's planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation, and development of activities. Together, you ensure the child's best interests and meet all children based on their experiences and circumstances. You are also involved in creating accessible and stimulating learning environments where children's participation is in focus. Working as a childcare worker at our emergency/on-call preschool also includes: Pedagogical work with children ages 1-12 years during on-call hours; evenings, nights, and weekends. Awake on-call service. Heating meals during evenings and weekends. Putting children to bed for the night. We're Looking for You We are seeking someone with upper secondary or adult education in a child and youth program or other education that the employer deems relevant for the role. You need to have knowledge of the preschool curriculum and other current governing documents to follow the norms and values that the preschool curriculum establishes. We would appreciate if you have experience working in on-call services for children ages 1-12 years and in preschool settings. It is considered advantageous if you have some form of training in leisure activities for children ages 7-12 years. You have good pedagogical ability and understanding of how children learn. You are proactive in initiating activities and contributing to the development of the operation. Your approach is positive, and you communicate and collaborate easily with children, guardians, and colleagues. To succeed in this role, you need to be independent and able to structure your work tasks. It is important that you are solution-focused and contribute to the development of the on-call service. A requirement of the role is that you see the age span 1-12 years as a developmental challenge and that you view awake on-call service as a natural part of your assignment. As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances as needed. You enjoy working in teams and have an aptitude for collaboration and building good relationships. You have basic digital competence and can use various digital systems. To succeed in this role, you need good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. The on-call service has been operating for many years with knowledgeable staff with long experience in this type of operation. The on-call service is located in a student area with proximity to public transportation, grocery stores, and large green spaces. The on-call service places great emphasis on language, the preschool's environmental work, learning environments, and being a 'present pedagogue'.
