Description At Galaxen, children and adults meet in a safe, creative, and developmentally rich environment. We actively work with smaller child groups and practice the philosophy that "all children belong to all of us." Our work is characterized by strong collaboration around the children and we work in teams. For the older children, we have Team North and Team South, each consisting of four home bases. For the younger children, we have one team consisting of three home bases. Galaxen has a large outdoor area that invites play, movement, and discovery. Job Responsibilities As a childcare worker, you will work together with preschool teachers based on current guidelines and implement and develop the educational activities. You will help plan and conduct activities that promote children's development and learning. You are responsible for providing children with a safe and secure environment in the preschool. Your main responsibilities will be to: Help children develop their social skills, such as cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution. Participate in documenting children's development and learning by observing and noting their progress and challenges. Communication with guardians. Assist with meals, rest time, and hygiene. As a childcare worker, you have an invaluable role where you help and inspire children in their activities. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a childcare worker through upper secondary or post-secondary education corresponding to at least 1300 points. You have a strong ability to see all children and take their individual circumstances into consideration. We are looking for someone who is deeply committed to children's development and learning and who wants to help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive preschool environment.
