Children in preschool should receive a safe education where care, development and learning form a whole. Working as a childcare worker means that you together with the work team shape a safe and developmental education for the children at the preschool. The work is challenging, exciting, creative and takes place in close collaboration with your work team and colleagues at the preschool. As a childcare worker you are part of a work team and participate in planning, implementing and evaluating the education offered to the children. You collaborate with the work team and together you offer the children fun and educational activities. Qualifications We are looking for you who are trained as a childcare worker or you who are studying to become a childcare worker, alternatively other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is important: that you are familiar with our governing document, Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö18), that you are a safe and clear leader, find it easy to take your own initiatives, are positive and have confidence in children's different competencies, that you care about trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills, that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work, that you use visual support and TAKK (signs as alternative and supplementary communication), that you are interested in developing the preschool. Very good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written is a requirement for the position. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit in an application for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
