Description:

About the Position Would you like a challenging and rewarding role focused on placed children and their families? Are you a social worker? Then you should apply to work with us! As a child services secretary, you hold government responsibility under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and you closely monitor the child's or young person's placement. You work with investigations, assessments, and reviews. You naturally also follow up on other interventions for the child, such as school family support, and maintain continuous contact with children and young people in foster care and residential support homes. You work with the child's biological parents and network based on what is best for the placed child. The child services secretary team is a positive group of mixed ages with great commitment to ensuring children and young people get what they need. Our unit consists of 18 employees: 15 child services secretaries, two senior social secretaries, and one unit manager. Management is stable, with extensive experience and high availability for daily support. We value development and make sure to deepen our expertise in various areas, including custody transfers, child conversations, children and young people with special needs, the Western Model, and LÖSA. In our administration and unit, we have invested in close management. For us, it is important to work without pretense, work closely together, and help each other. We believe in participation in development work related to both the field of placed children and new social services legislation. We consider it important to utilize the family's own resources and solutions. We collaborate closely and are co-located with the foster care secretaries. An important part for us is giving placed children and young people participation in their processes, and we apply methods such as taping and LÖSA, as well as through our deepened collaboration with our resource unit. Dialogue, trust, and laughter are integral parts of our daily work. As a new employee, you will receive a good introduction and the opportunity to work together in a good work environment where you receive the support you need to meet our children and their families in a good way. As a child services secretary with us, you work in a team with the foster care secretaries. We have access to an open care unit with broad and good expertise. Since one of our employees is leaving Gothenburg due to relocation and another is going on parental leave, we are now looking for you to join our team. About You We are looking for someone with experience working with placed children, preferably as a child services secretary. You have a degree in social work and may already be working with government authority exercises. As an applicant, you need to have a clear child perspective in your work and base your approach on children's rights. You have knowledge of legislation, the Social Services Act and Care of Young Persons Act, and have knowledge of and work according to BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus). You handle documentation well and express yourself respectfully in speech and writing. A driver's license is a requirement. We consider it meritorious if you have other qualifications that broaden and strengthen our collective expertise. You are calm and composed in pressured and difficult situations. You have a good ability to balance demands and can make well-reasoned decisions even with tight timelines. You take responsibility for both your own and the team's work tasks. You keep the children's best interests in focus and do your best to perform and follow up on your work tasks. You are pleasant and helpful to other people even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You ensure that work is completed on time and follow up on results.
