Description:

Härryda is a municipality that dares to dream! Here we aim to have Sweden's best schools and business climate, care of the highest quality, and attractive community development. Together, we are 3,000 employees who make meeting Härryda Municipality simple. With courage, innovative thinking, and decisive action, we inspire each other and deliver service with competence and quality. Over the past four years, Härryda Municipality has consistently ranked at the top in Dagens Samhälle's annual ranking of Sweden's best municipalities. We are looking for someone who is engaged, open to different perspectives, and wants to create solutions that will stand the test of time. You'll find us between Gothenburg and Borås with Landvetter Airport right in the middle of the municipality. Together we accomplish more! 1 position(s). Your Workplace Härryda Municipality is located within a short commute to Gothenburg and other surrounding municipalities. Buses and trains run frequently and stop near the office. The office is centrally located with easy access to grocery stores, pharmacies, and lunch restaurants. The Family Support and Foster Care Unit is one of three units within the Children and Families operation in the Social Services sector of Härryda Municipality. The unit has five child welfare secretaries and five foster care secretaries, as well as seven family treatment workers and one (soon two) youth treatment workers. The unit also includes three unit managers and a unit chief. Access to support in daily work is therefore high. We are now looking for you to work as a social welfare secretary (child welfare secretary) for children living in foster care. We who work at the Family Support and Foster Care Unit strive to maintain good and close contact with children and important people in their lives. We place great emphasis on social work and are given room to be creative. The group of child welfare secretaries is engaged, experienced, and highly focused on children's care and development. It is a group that has great care for each other and enjoys working together. In the group, it is natural to help each other and morale is high. Child welfare secretaries and foster care secretaries work closely together and therefore also provide natural support for each other. The proximity to family treatment workers means that flexible solutions can quickly be found for children in foster care who need enhanced support. We are committed to developing and continuously working to increase security and prepare our placed children for the future. Together with researchers and two other municipalities, we are part of the Leaving Care project, which aims to optimize support for young adults in the final stages of public care or who have recently left it. As part of this, we are developing aftercare that will be provided by child welfare secretaries as a service without a needs assessment following the end of placement. We have also decided to introduce Skolfam with a planned start in spring 2027. We want you as an employee to enjoy working with us and have a good work environment. We trust in your ability and competence, and we encourage and value new ideas. We have good and close collaboration between our units within Children and Families and with other important partners within and outside the municipality, such as schools. Your Assignment As a child welfare secretary, your task is to monitor and work to ensure that our placed children are doing well and have the most favorable development possible. You do this by creating good and trusting relationships with the children and with important people around them, such as parents and foster families. It is important to us that you treat everyone with respect and that you adapt your approach based on what the child needs to feel safe and secure. You work in a close team with foster care secretaries through joint meetings and by planning care. You have regular visits to the foster home, individual conversations with the child, and conversations with foster parents, guardians, and other important people in the child's network. A functioning school experience is an important success factor for children, and therefore a strong focus should be on good collaboration with the school. As a child welfare secretary, your duties include regularly reviewing or reconsidering care and, when necessary, conducting investigations under the Social Services Act or the Care of Young Persons Act. You actively participate in our ongoing development work and contribute with your experience and knowledge. Requirements for the Position We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and at least a couple of years of experience in authority work with children and young people. Additional experience in the field is a merit, as is having worked with children in some capacity. The work involves travel, so a B driving license is a requirement. To be hired, you must provide a certificate from the Police's criminal record register. Before employment, an extended background check will be conducted. Your Personal Qualities Are Important to Us We place great emphasis on personal suitability, a strong ability to create good and trusting relationships, and good ability to collaborate. To thrive in the role of child welfare secretary, it helps if you are organized and thorough. It is important that you can work independently by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You need to be able to understand different perspectives and have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The position requires that you can express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing. Additional Information We want to inform you that your application is a public document according to the principle of public access. If you as an applicant have protected personal data, please submit your application in paper form to: Härryda Municipality, Human Resources, Sofia Götberg, 435 80 Mölnlycke. Your application will be handled according to the municipality's procedures for handling protected personal data in recruitment and employment.
