WORK TASKS Do you want to work in a service where you can really influence children's futures and contribute to security, stability and development? As a child case worker at the family foster care unit, you become an important part of a meaningful and socially important mission. You are responsible for following up on the child's situation and ensuring that their basic needs for security, care and stability are met. Your work includes, among other things: • Being the responsible case worker for children placed in foster families according to the Social Services Act or the Care of Young Persons Act • Maintaining regular contact with the child, biological parents, foster family, school, child psychiatric services, health and medical care and other relevant parties • Conducting individual conversations with the child and safeguarding the child's rights and voice in all decisions • Making regular home visits and follow-ups in the foster family • Conducting investigations, considerations and working with legal processes • Making decisions and conducting legally secure work based on current legislation • Working closely with family foster care coordinators who recruit and supervise foster families Here you get the opportunity to work in a strong and supportive team where you both develop yourself and contribute to the development of our service. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is confident, empathetic and driven, with a strong commitment to working for the best interests of children. You have good ability to handle stress and remain calm in complex situations. You are secure and strong in yourself and can handle stress in a healthy way. Your ability to build relationships of trust is of the utmost importance. We therefore see that you are skilled at communicating and creating secure contact with both children and adults. You enjoy independent work where you drive and develop your work on your own in a legally secure manner. We also see that you have good ability to prioritize and organize your work. At the same time, collaboration is an important part of your work, with both internal and external parties. Working with others toward a common goal should therefore come naturally to you. Requirements and meriting qualifications • Social worker degree or other education that can be assessed as equivalent • Experience with public authority duties concerning children and young people • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing • Good knowledge of relevant legislation • Category B driver's license Beyond these requirements, we see it as highly meriting if you have previous experience working in family foster care. It is also meriting if you have relevant system experience, particularly with the systems LifeCare and Ommej.
