We offer a temporary position at 100% starting November 1, 2026 or by agreement, through January 30, 2028, with the potential possibility of extension.

Your Assignment
Your work tasks will consist of clinic work in the form of maternal healthcare including parental education, contraceptive counseling, STI testing, and gynecological cell sampling. Your tasks also include making home visits to newborns and new parents to provide support during this new phase of life. You have a central role in meeting patient needs, making medical and nursing assessments and prioritizations. You work in a health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-focused manner. This means broad and varied work for someone who thrives in clinical practice.
We place the patient at the center, and we welcome your interest in health preventive work. For us, continuing education is important, and we invest in good mentorship for our future colleagues.
With us, you will work with all professions at the primary care center. The operations are also part of a family center that includes child health clinic, midwifery, social services, and open preschool.
Your Qualifications
You are a licensed midwife with prescribing rights. Experience working in primary care and at a midwifery clinic is a merit. Since home visits are included, a valid driver's license is required.

We are looking for someone with a good holistic perspective, the ability to work independently, and strong collaboration skills. You are an excellent communicator in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. The work is independent, so it is important that you are skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an efficient and flexible manner. We also collaborate with many other actors, so your collaboration skills and desire to continuously develop the operations you work in will be valuable to us.
Our Operations
The primary care center is part of the division Close Care and Health, Region Uppsala, and is centrally located adjacent to the Hospital in Enköping. The operations also include a branch in Fjärdhundra. The primary care center and its branch together have approximately 9,000 registered patients, and at the center we have approximately 40 employees working in close collaboration. We have good collaboration with the hospital, and an urgent care clinic is located near us. Our patients come from both urban and surrounding rural areas.
