Obstetrics' planned services offer specialist care during pregnancy and up to twelve weeks after delivery. The Ultrasound Unit performs fetal diagnostics and serves as the regional center for diagnosing diseases and malformations in the fetus. Within the planned services, we also have a Specialist Midwifery Clinic and a Clinic for Pregnant and Postpartum Women that we collaborate with. We work in teams with midwives, section leaders, nursing assistants, physicians, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. The unit performs approximately 19,000 early ultrasounds, routine ultrasounds, and complete ultrasound examinations annually, as well as 3,000 specialist ultrasounds. We have a mixed service portfolio that includes regional and national healthcare services. Extensive research is conducted here, and we have an active educational program that also includes course offerings.
