Jelgava State City Municipality institution "Jelgava State City Guardian Court" announces a competition for the position of Guardian Court Member at Jelgava State City Municipality institution "Jelgava State City Guardian Court" (for an indefinite period) Job Duties Description: 1. comply with the Guardian Court Law and other normative acts relevant to the position in the performance of job duties; 2. ensure timely, lawful, and quality preparation of guardian court cases for consideration and decision-making; 3. participate in guardian court sessions and take part in case consideration; 4. inspect and verify the living conditions of a child or person with limited legal capacity, and prepare written reports of living conditions inspections; 5. ascertain the opinion of a child or person with limited legal capacity; 6. prepare draft decisions of the guardian court and other necessary documents; 7. prepare responses to documents received by the guardian court in accordance with the position's competence; 8. receive visitors and provide consultations within the scope of the guardian court's competence; 9. represent the guardian court in relations with municipal institutions, courts, and other agencies; 10. ensure that the guardian court's operations comply with the requirements of normative acts and good governance principles. Requirements for Candidates: 1. is a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; 2. has reached the age of 30; 3. has acquired at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification or other qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in Latvia's education classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or legal science, education management or public administration, and has at least three years of work experience in the thematic field of the acquired education or in the performance of duties of a guardian court chair, deputy chair, or guardian court member; 4. has an impeccable reputation; 5. is not subject to the restrictions specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law; 6. has state language proficiency at the highest level (at least C1); 7. has work experience in the preparation of documents (decisions, claims to court, etc.); 8. has high stress tolerance and a sense of responsibility, good communication and interpersonal skills; 9. has good communication, emotional resilience, and cooperation skills; 10. has good computer skills in working with MS Office, Word, Excel, BARIS, NAMEJS and other information technology programs. Application Documents: application, not exceeding one A4 page; a description of life, work, and professional experience (CV), indicating work periods, education level, job duties, language proficiency, as well as skills in working with digital tools and information and communication technologies; copies of documents confirming education in one copy (for candidates who obtained education abroad, a document on academic recognition of education in Latvia must be attached); a certificate that the candidate is not subject to the restrictions specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law and meets the requirements specified in Article 10 of the Guardian Court Law (Annex 1); a certificate of consent to the processing of personal data (references) (Annex 2); a certificate from the Ministry of Interior Information Center Criminal Register on the person's convictions and administrative violations (in accordance with the requirements of Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law (Persons who cannot be part of the guardian court composition)); a certificate of state language proficiency for candidates whose native language is not Latvian.
