Talsu Regional Municipality (Registration No. 90009113532) Talsu Regional Childcare Board announces a competition for a vacant Childcare Board Member position in Talsu Regional Municipality (1 vacancy) (classification code 3412 06) Requirements for candidates: Citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; At least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification, or a qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in Latvia's education classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or law, education management or public administration, with at least three years of work experience in the relevant field of acquired education or in performing the duties of childcare board chair, vice-chair, or member; Person who has reached the age of 30; Knowledge of the state language at the highest level; Irreproachable reputation; Excellent computer skills; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in high-intensity conditions and stressful situations; Category B driver's license. Main job responsibilities: Participate in the work of the childcare board, receive visitors, review submissions and complaints, including submissions and complaints regarding parental conduct, provide consultations; Ensure timely, lawful and high-quality preparation of childcare board cases for review and decision-making by reviewing documents received, preparing and providing responses to interested parties in the case; Participate in board meetings, ensuring collegial decision-making, as well as taking actions to ensure implementation of decisions, make individual decisions; Represent the childcare board before other institutions, including courts, prosecutor's offices, child protection centers, police and other institutions, provide opinions within the scope of authorization; Ensure fulfillment of tasks specified in the Childcare Board Law and the institution's regulations; Conduct family life condition inspections, compile and sign inspection reports and interview protocols; Work with children's family cases and/or cases of persons with limited legal capacity; Prepare cases for court review, draft claims, petitions in special procedures, appeals and other documents; Enter and update information in BARIS and other information systems in accordance with regulatory requirements; Perform notarial acts and other duties as required by regulatory requirements and at the instruction of the board chair.
