the position of Dienvidkurzeme Municipality Child Welfare Board Member (Aizpute Parish, Cīrava Parish, Lāža Parish)
(occupational classification 3412 06)
Main duties of the Child Welfare Board Member:
Ensure the functioning of the Child Welfare Board in accordance with job responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and the Dienvidkurzeme Municipality Child Welfare Board Regulations;
perform job duties in accordance with the requirements and powers established in Chapter IV of the Child Welfare Board Law regarding Board competence;
perform actions and tasks in accordance with the powers established in regulatory acts and resolutions issued by the Chairperson within the area of responsibility;
receive visitors in the area of responsibility and, in accordance with document delegation and circulation procedures, process/prepare documents within the administrative records management scope of the Child Welfare Board;
in accordance with the order of the Child Welfare Board Chairperson, perform the duties of the Chairperson at Board meetings, prepare Child Welfare Board decisions in accordance with the procedures and deadlines established in regulatory acts;
in accordance with the order and authorization issued by the Child Welfare Board Chairperson, represent the Board's interests in courts, perform certifications, and carry out notarial tasks mentioned in the Child Welfare Board Law.
Requirements for candidates for the Child Welfare Board Member position:
· is a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia;
· has reached 30 years of age;
· has obtained at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification, or other qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in the Latvia education classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work, legal sciences, education management, or public administration;
· has at least three years of work experience in the relevant subject area of the education obtained or in performing the duties of a Child Welfare Board Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, or Board Member;
· proficiency in the state language at the highest level;
· an impeccable reputation;
· absence of obstacles mentioned in Article 11 of the Child Welfare Board Law to holding the position of Child Welfare Board Member;
· high sense of responsibility, good communication and collaboration skills;
· strategic and analytical thinking, ability to make decisions;
· high stress tolerance and ability to work under high-intensity conditions;
· good skills in working with Microsoft Office applications;
· preference for candidates who have completed the training program mentioned in the fourth part of Article 10 of the Child Welfare Board Law, who have experience in child welfare work and child protection issues, and who have obtained a Category B driver's license.
We offer:
Monthly salary EUR 1,290.00 gross.
Type of work: indefinite term, full-time.
Social guarantees in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Work location: Avotu iela 2, Aizpute, Dienvidkurzemes nov.
The Child Welfare Board Member holds the status of a public official.
