Ogres Municipality Guardian Court (Registration No. 40900037354) invites applications for the vacant position of Ogres Municipality Guardian Court Member. Position is for a fixed term. Requirements for candidates: A person may serve as a guardian court member if: • they are a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; • they have reached the age of 30; • they have obtained at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification or another qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in Latvia's education classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or legal science, education management or public administration, and have at least three years of work experience in the relevant field of education obtained or in performing the duties of guardian court chair, guardian court chair deputy, or guardian court member; • they have proficiency in the state language at the highest level; • they do not have the obstacles specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law to hold the position of guardian court member; • they have an impeccable reputation. Main duties of the position: • prepare and direct cases for consideration at guardian court sessions; • prepare draft decisions; • participate in guardian court sessions, ensuring collegial decision-making, and take actions to ensure decision implementation; • inspect living conditions at persons' residences and document the findings; • ascertain the child's opinion; • prepare document drafts in accordance with regulatory requirements; • receive visitors and provide consultations; • represent the Guardian Court in courts, state and municipal institutions; • perform other duties in accordance with regulatory requirements. Candidates must submit the following documents: • a motivational cover letter; • a curriculum vitae (CV); • copies of documents confirming education and qualifications; • a confirmation that the candidate agrees to allow the competition commission to obtain data from the Information Centre of the Ministry of Interior regarding criminal records and administrative violations; • state language proficiency certificate (if necessary).
