The Dobele Municipality Self-Governing Institution "Dobele Municipality Guardian Court" (Registration No. 40900038311) announces an open competition for the position of Guardian Court Member in Dobele (1 position).
Requirements for candidates:
- Citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia;
- reached 30 years of age;
- at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification or other qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in the Latvian Education Classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or legal science, education management or public administration;
- at least three years of work experience in the thematic field of the acquired education or in the performance of duties of guardian court chairman, guardian court chairman's deputy, or guardian court member;
- state language knowledge at the highest level;
- impeccable reputation;
- absence of obstacles specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Courts Law to hold the position of guardian court member;
- completion of 192 hours of training in the guardian court chairman, guardian court chairman's deputy, and guardian court members training program and completion of 24 hours of professional development training program within the last 5 years will be considered an advantage.
Necessary skills, abilities and knowledge:
- knowledge and understanding of regulatory acts governing the performance of job duties, general duties of the guardian court;
- ability to work under conditions of increased intensity and tension, high stress tolerance;
- high sense of responsibility, good communication and interpersonal skills;
- excellent computer skills;
- Category B driver's license.
Main job duties:
- prepare and direct cases for consideration at Guardian Court sessions;
- prepare draft decisions;
- participate in Guardian Court sessions, ensuring collegial decision-making, as well as take actions to ensure decision implementation;
- inspect living conditions at persons' places of residence, document the findings;
- ascertain the child's opinion;
- prepare document drafts in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- receive visitors and provide consultations;
- represent the Guardian Court in courts of all levels, state and municipal institutions;
- perform case entry in the BARIS system in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- perform other job duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and assignments from the Guardian Court chairman.

certification of compliance with the requirements specified in Article 10, second part of the Guardian Courts Law, as well as that there are no obstacles mentioned in Article 11 of the Guardian Courts Law to hold the position of guardian court member;
certification that the candidate agrees that when evaluating received documents, the competition commission will obtain data from the Ministry of Interior's Information Center Criminal Record Register regarding the person's convictions and administrative violations.
- copies of documents certifying education corresponding to Article 10, second part of the Guardian Courts Law (for candidates who received education abroad, documents on its recognition in Latvia);
- copy of document certifying state language proficiency (for non-citizens).
Candidates may additionally submit copies of documents certifying additional training relevant to the performance of job duties, recommendations, and references.
