South Kurzeme Municipality Administration (Registration No. 90000058625, Address: Lielā Street 54, Grobiņa, South Kurzeme District, LV-3430) announces a competition for the position of Member of the South Kurzeme District Child Welfare Board (Aizpute Parish, Cīrava Parish, Lažas Parish) (Professional Classification 3412 06) Primary job responsibilities of the Child Welfare Board Member: Ensure the operation of the Child Welfare Board in accordance with job responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and the regulations of the South Kurzeme District Child Welfare Board; Perform job duties in accordance with the requirements and authority specified in Chapter IV of the Child Welfare Board Law regarding the competence of the Child Welfare Board; Carry out activities and tasks in accordance with the authority prescribed in regulatory acts and resolutions issued by the Chairperson within the Board's territory of operation; Receive visitors within the territory of operation and, in accordance with document delegation and circulation procedures, process/prepare documents within the administrative record-keeping framework of the Child Welfare Board; In accordance with the order of the Board Chairperson, perform the duties of presiding over Child Welfare Board sessions, and prepare Board decisions in accordance with the procedure and deadlines specified in regulatory acts; In accordance with the order of the Board Chairperson and issued authorization, represent the Board's interests in courts, perform certifications, and carry out notarial functions mentioned in the Child Welfare Board Law. Requirements for candidates for the position of Child Welfare Board Member: · Be a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; · Have reached 30 years of age; · Hold at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree with level 5 professional qualification, or other qualification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework as defined in Latvia's education classification, in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work, or legal science, education management, or public administration; · Have at least three years of work experience in the relevant field of acquired education or in performing the duties of Child Welfare Board Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, or Board Member; · Possess state language proficiency at the highest level; · Have an unblemished reputation; · Absence of obstacles mentioned in Article 11 of the Child Welfare Board Law to hold the position of Board Member; · High sense of responsibility, good communication and collaboration skills; · Strategic and analytical thinking, ability to make decisions; · High stress tolerance and ability to work in high-intensity conditions; · Good skills in working with Microsoft Office applications; · Preference for candidates who have completed the training program mentioned in the fourth part of Article 10 of the Child Welfare Board Law, who have experience in Child Welfare Board work and child protection issues, and who have obtained a Category B driver's license. We offer: Monthly gross salary of EUR 1,290.00. Employment type: indefinite term, full-time. Social guarantees in accordance with regulatory requirements. Work location: Avotu Street 2, Aizpute, South Kurzeme District. The Board Member has official status.
