Job Description
In your role as Backoffice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and controlled administration of the company's securities transactions, custody operations, and transaction flows.
You are the process owner for the company's backoffice and are responsible for developing, documenting, and conducting these operations in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal governance documents, and operational quality objectives. You will also establish, develop, and monitor processes, routines, system support, and controls within your area of responsibility, as well as coordinate, develop, and follow up on daily work within the backoffice function.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily backoffice operations, including order handling, settlement, liquidity, custody administration, reconciliations, and corporate actions
Ensure correct reporting of transactions and taxes, as well as high quality in registry and customer data
Own, develop, and document backoffice processes, routines, and internal controls
Identify and manage operational risks, incidents, and control deficiencies, and ensure compliance with internal regulations and external requirements
Drive improvement initiatives, digitalization, and automation to create efficient processes
Set requirements for internal and external system providers
Coordinate and prioritize daily work within backoffice and provide operational support to colleagues
Collaborate closely with Operations, Asset Management, IT, Compliance, Risk, and external providers to ensure high quality and efficient process flows
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone with an academic degree from a university or college in economics, preferably with a focus on finance. You have at least five years of experience working in backoffice, with a focus on clearing and settlement, from a bank, securities company, or asset management firm.
You have a strong interest in systems and processes as well as good administrative skills with high accuracy and structure in your work approach. Furthermore, you are analytical, responsible, and thrive in a role where you drive improvements and ensure efficient workflows.
We would like to see that you have the potential and ambition to develop into a leadership role in the future. Therefore, you have good collaboration skills, a natural sense of responsibility, and the ability to build trust with colleagues and other stakeholders.
You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English.
