Develop e-commerce solutions for several of Sweden's largest grocery chains using serverless and modern backend solutions at Axfood IT in Stockholm
As a backend developer at Axfood IT, you'll be part of the team developing and advancing solutions within e-commerce and digital customer experiences for companies including Willys, Hemköp, and Snabbgross. Here you work with AWS, serverless, and modern integration solutions in an environment where new functionality is built in parallel with modernizing parts of our existing landscape for the future. What you'll do with us
The team is responsible for backend development within Axfood's e-commerce and digital customer experiences, and builds and advances services used by several of Axfood's companies. We define our infrastructure in AWS as code primarily using AWS CDK, which is version-controlled in git and deployed via shared pipelines.
We work closely with the business, which means you won't just encounter technical questions but also need to understand the context behind them. You will, among other things:
Develop and advance backend solutions in AWS
Work with serverless architecture and asynchronous flows
Build APIs and integrations between different systems and services
Participate in technical discussions about architecture, design, and development patterns
Your team and workplace
You'll be part of a smaller AWS team working toward e-commerce and Axfood's digital customer experiences. The team currently consists of both senior and more junior developers.
We work according to a hybrid policy, with remote work when it suits tasks and team deliverables, and meet most of the week at the office at Torsplan.

We believe you have worked a few years as a developer and gathered experiences that have made you confident in both your craft and your technical decisions. You thrive in environments where everything isn't predefined from the start and where the solution isn't always given in advance.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
Experience with backend development in AWS
Experience with serverless architecture and asynchronous flows
Good understanding of APIs, integrations, and distributed systems
Ability to take responsibility for both solution and implementation
Good communication skills in Swedish and English
