Backend Developer for Global Cloud Service in Linköping

We at TaxiCaller are looking for a skilled backend developer to increase the development pace of our mobility as a service platform. About You We are looking for someone who matches the following description: * You have studied at a university/college with a focus on software development. * You have programmed extensively in object-oriented languages, preferably in Java, but it is not a requirement. * You have strong drive and can work independently. * You have experience with server programming with database connectivity. * You have a good understanding of scalability and performance; experience working with transaction-intensive systems is a plus. We consider it a plus if: * You have experience with HTML5 and JavaScript. * You have experience with PHP, SSL, and MySQL. About Your Tasks You will work with the server side of our mobility as a service platform. We have servers on all continents and the system is very complex. Development is done partly in Java with MySQL as the database. We also have microservices, where we use Redis as an in-memory data store and MySQL as the database. You will work both on designing the server architecture and on the implementation itself, and you will work closely with our CTO. We work in an agile manner according to Scrum. About Us TaxiCaller was founded in 2011 and has developed a mobility as a service platform that has quickly achieved international success and is used today by transport companies around the world. Initially, our focus was on offering our system to taxi companies, but we have since expanded and now offer our system to other types of transport companies as well, such as bus companies. Our system is revolutionary because we constantly use the latest technology in both web solutions and smart mobile devices (iPhone and Android).
