Learn more at www.nsr.se About the Role As a Waste Strategy Manager, you have a key role in developing, coordinating, and driving strategic work in waste and resource management. You work long-term with governance, planning, and follow-up in close collaboration with operations, owner municipalities, and other external stakeholders. The role is both strategic and operational. You work with measures that help us achieve our established goals at the company as well as the goals in the regional waste plan. Together with your responsible manager, you ensure that NSR makes adjustments that increase quantities up the waste hierarchy. As a Waste Strategy Manager, you are part of a team with a total of 5 employees and report to the Unit Manager for Strategic Planning. You will work with, among other things: - Developing strategies and plans to work toward established goals within the municipal mandate. - Monitoring external developments in legislation, national goals, and industry developments in waste and circular economy - Driving and participating in development projects and investigations related to sustainability, recycling, and waste minimization - Collaborating with municipal departments, other municipal companies, and external stakeholders - Conducting internal and external meetings, presentations, workshops, and training sessions. Requirements to Succeed in the Role The role places high demands on both good collaboration skills and communication abilities. To succeed in the assignment, you need to be able to work proactively, think innovatively, and be supportive toward involved parties. You are driven by creating results together with others and building good relationships within and outside the company. Many work tasks run in parallel, which requires a strong ability to prioritize and good coordination skills. We place great emphasis on your problem-solving ability and your drive to implement changes to develop the business toward established goals.
