About the role You'll become part of the Waste and Recycling Department where we are over 20 employees working together for sustainable and efficient waste management. As a specialist, you'll have a central role in planning, monitoring, and developing our operations. You'll have an important role in ensuring that our waste management is handled in accordance with applicable legislation, in an efficient and environmentally sustainable way. Examples of work tasks: - Collaborate with contractors, residents, and other stakeholders - Manage route lists, orders, and other administration related to the operations - Handle waste matters and answer customer inquiries - Monitor statistics and key performance indicators within waste management - Participate in procurements, orders, and contract management - Work with information and advocacy regarding waste, sorting, and reuse - Contribute to the development of routines, policies, and waste plans Work location: You'll be based at one of our offices in Sveg, Hede, Funäsdalen, Svenstavik, Hackås, or Bräcke. About you We're looking for someone who is stable and confident, and who can remain calm and make well-founded decisions even under pressure. You're organized and thorough with the ability to prioritize and create order in a changing environment. When challenges arise, you see opportunities and take responsibility for finding solutions. You work independently but also enjoy collaborating with others. With your attentiveness and flexibility, you contribute to a good work climate and the group's collective development. You're communicative and service-oriented, which makes it easy for you to relate to colleagues, residents, and partners. The work involves considerable writing at times, so you need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself clearly and professionally. Since the operational area is geographically large, a class B driver's license is also required. Great weight is placed on personal suitability – and we'd like to see that you have a strong commitment to the environment and sustainability. Requirements: - A minimum of upper secondary education - Class B driver's license (manual) - Good knowledge of waste management, preferably from municipal operations or a waste company - Knowledge of current environmental and waste legislation - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish - Good IT skills and experience working in various digital systems Meriting: - Experience with case management, procurement, or coordination within public operations - Knowledge of our operating system EDP Future - Good geographical knowledge of Berg, Bräcke, and Härjedalen We offer As an employee with us, you'll become an important part of sustainable community building, and here you work to do good for people and the environment for many generations to come.
