The Benefit Fraud Department covers the areas of Crime Prevention, Control, Payment, and Recovery. The department's legal support includes providing assistance to the operations of reconsideration, litigation, and the department's other operational areas. As a department lawyer, you will work closely with your lawyer colleagues and we work together to ensure high quality and competence development in a sometimes high-paced work environment. Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration The department lawyers within the Benefit Fraud Department work with a broad range of legal matters within the above-mentioned areas. Work tasks include quality-assuring legal documents, supporting legal discussions, drafting internal governance documents, responding to consultations and referrals, handling Parliamentary Ombudsman referrals, developing training materials, acting as a sounding board for operations, etc. The legal support team also works strategically and systematically with information management related to the Administrative Procedure Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and GDPR. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency is receiving increasing authority and opportunities in its work against benefit fraud, which means that legal development work is required in the implementation of reforms. The legal support unit in the Benefit Fraud Department should also contribute to regulatory development work aimed at preventing benefit fraud. The work involves special responsibility for correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation. Based on legal governance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments within the Benefit Fraud Department. This includes developments in both social insurance law and other legal matters that affect the agency's ability to prevent benefit fraud. By providing close legal support to the department's employees and development activities, you contribute to good legal quality. You support managers and employees on legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the department and with other departments, including the agency's legal department. As a lawyer, you handle classified information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness when working with us. This is a job for someone who wants to take responsibility. We are looking for you who - have a law degree (juris kandidat) or equivalent legal qualification - are a notary or have equivalent competence, for example similar experience from a court or government agency - act on your own initiative and take responsibility for high-quality results - have a systematic and thorough work approach - can understand and analyze complex matters - communicate clearly, distinctly, and in a structured manner in both speech and writing - collaborate effectively to achieve common goals It is meritorious if you - have good knowledge of administrative law and social insurance law - have good knowledge related to benefit fraud, recovery, economic crime, and crime prevention or similar matters - have good knowledge of public access to information and secrecy, data protection issues, and other administrative law We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
