The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic provides high-quality forensic psychiatric care and is one of the country's five regional clinics within forensic psychiatry. In addition to its regional mission, the clinic has national intake. Many of the clinic's patients have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by court order. The assignment also includes receiving patients from the Prison and Probation Service who are in need of psychiatric care. The clinic consists of 11 inpatient wards and one outpatient clinic. The clinic has approximately 450 employees.

DUTIES
As a department manager for the Activity Center within forensic psychiatry, you will have an important and meaningful role. Together with your team of 17 employees, you create a safe, structured, and rehabilitative environment for our patients. The Activity Center aims to strengthen patients' skills, increase their independence, and support their return to society. Several professional groups work here, including occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, socio-therapists, teachers, physical therapists, district nurses, and CBT therapists. The assignment also includes responsibility for the Health Center, which offers healthcare, counseling, rehabilitation, and health promotion services.
As a department manager, you have overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, and business development. You are part of an engaged team of department managers and report to the care area manager. In this role, it is important that you view forensic psychiatry from a holistic perspective.
As department manager, you are responsible for:
• Leading, coaching, and developing employees in daily work, and taking responsibility for recruitment, skills development, and employee meetings.
• Driving and developing operations in line with the clinic's goals, guidelines, and applicable legislation, and following up and ensuring quality indicators, routines, and patient safety work.
• Ensuring a safe work environment through systematic risk assessments, incident management, and safety matters in an environment with special security requirements.
• Planning, following up, and analyzing budget, staffing, and resource use.
• Collaborating with different professions to create holistic and evidence-based care.
• Initiating and driving improvement projects and developing routines.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in healthcare, behavioral science, or social work, or other education that the employer deems appropriate. Experience in leadership and work in forensic psychiatry or psychiatry is a merit. We would appreciate it if you have a coaching leadership style and are comfortable delegating responsibility to your employees. You need to be able to see the big picture, have good collaboration skills, and the ability to structure work and set goals for operations together with the clinic's management. You find it easy to build good relationships, value a good work climate, and stand for visible, clear, and engaged leadership.
We use personality and problem-solving tests as a basis for selection, which together with your CV form the basis for assessing which candidates advance in the process. We use tests to make the recruitment process as fair and transparent as possible, where all candidates are given the same opportunity to perform. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The management assignment is time-limited and you will have your primary employment at the Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic.
