Then the role of Department Manager for the Pulp Mill in Gävle might be your next step. Gävle Mill is one of Billerud's largest production facilities with approximately 550 employees and plays a key role in the group's value chain. We are now seeking an engaged and business-minded Department Manager for the Pulp Mill who wants to lead the operation through a strong focus on safety, high operational performance, and developmental leadership. At the Pulp Mill, approximately 120 employees work under your leadership. You lead the department together with three Section Managers and two Process Specialists. You report to the Plant Manager and are part of Gävle Mill's management team. The Pulp Mill in Gävle consists of a pulping plant, fiber lines, chemical recovery, and water treatment with associated auxiliary processes. In this role, you have overall responsibility for the Pulp Mill's operations, employees, work environment, finances, and results. You work strategically with the long-term development of the operation while ensuring that daily operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established goals. In the role, you are expected to drive and develop the operation with particular focus on: Safety – drive initiatives that genuinely strengthen safety in daily work Leadership – develop collaboration, structure, and working methods to ensure stability, engagement, and performance Reduced internal losses – increased availability and capacity in production by systematically eliminating disruptions Why us? Qualifications Civil engineering degree or equivalent experience from industrial operations Several years of experience in leadership roles within industry, process, or production environments Good understanding of operations, maintenance, and improvement work in technically complex facilities Good knowledge of Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have experience from pulp mills or related process industries.
