Our Operations
Child and adolescent psychiatry is in an intensive development phase toward future care. We are a service area that is growing and where we have recently reorganized our operations to best meet citizens' needs for care with good results. We therefore offer you an opportunity to concretely influence the future of child and adolescent psychiatric care as we seek a new department head for BUP Start.
Child and adolescent psychiatry provides specialized psychiatric health and medical care for people aged 0–18 in Uppsala County and, as of autumn, is divided into three sections: BUP outpatient care, BUP emergency and intensive treatment care, and BUP physicians. We provide outpatient care, enhanced outpatient care, emergency services, and 24-hour care. We also provide nationally highly specialized care for severe eating disorders.
Research and teaching are integrated parts of the operations, and there is extensive patient-centered child and adolescent psychiatric research ongoing. There are good opportunities to conduct research in a position with us.
Your Assignment
You will be responsible for BUP Start. All new patients come to BUP Start for initial assessment and evaluation. BUP Start also provides psychopedagogical basic treatment. As department head, your assignment is to lead and develop the operations toward the set goals – both clinically and academically – together with staff, the responsible physician, the section head, and the management group. You will have an assistant department head to support you in your assignment.
Your assignment includes responsibility for personnel, finances, and operations. You will be part of the BUP outpatient care section's management group.

Your Qualifications
To thrive in this assignment, you have a university degree and extensive clinical experience within child and adolescent psychiatry. Previous leadership experience and experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry are highly valuable.
