Currently, five operations are part of the business area: Internal Service, Service Center, Internal Logistics, CIMT, and Property. We operate throughout the county with operations at all three hospitals in Västerbotten. We have exciting and challenging work ahead of us, and together we are strong! Internal Service and Service Center deliver high-standard service to the hospitals. This includes staffing receptions, handling mail, facility maintenance, and patient transport. Through high availability, efficient processes, and world-class customer service, we create conditions for a positive experience of us as both a healthcare provider and employer. Internal Service and Service Center are undergoing a major change where we will together form a new base unit in fall 2026 - Service. As Department Manager of Service at Lycksele Hospital, you have direct responsibility for approximately 20 employees and one subordinate section manager. Your employees staff the production kitchen and Lycksbaren, transport patients and goods, are responsible for the region's staff accommodations, and the hospital's morgue. Your section manager is responsible for the hospital's cleaners and receptionists. As a manager at Region Västerbotten, you have an important mission for both employees and residents of the county. JOB DUTIES As a Department Manager with us, you see the bigger picture and potential, and boldly move us forward. You act as a role model, work to create shared visions, and unleash initiative in your operations. You challenge and develop as well as encourage and make your employees visible. You take responsibility for your operations within your authority and represent the employer by leading and developing toward the region's decided goals. You are responsible for Lycksele Hospital's facility maintenance, reception, logistics, patient transport, morgue, production kitchen, and Lycksbaren. You are also responsible for the region's staff accommodations. You lead and distribute work for your immediate team members and have responsibility for driving the department's long-term work. The role also involves responsibility for monitoring supplier agreements and local customer agreements. You represent Service in discussions with other operations at Lycksele Hospital and participate in the local management team during special events. You are part of the management group for the Service base unit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with relevant university education, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. To succeed in this role, you need experience working in a service-oriented operation. We would prefer that you have experience coordinating issues between different operations or functions, and that you are experienced in quality monitoring. You must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since travel is part of the job, a Class B driver's license is required. Your leadership qualities are relationship-oriented and you have strong confidence in others and believe in their ability to do a good job. You communicate with awareness of how you are perceived and are concerned with getting your message across well. You build relationships, show consideration, and are respectful. You prioritize good relationships and can balance this against a mandate that means you cannot always say yes, and you can make decisions that are right for your operations even if other operations disagree. Employment Type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-12-01 or by agreement. Working Hours: Daytime. The management position at Region Västerbotten is typically a fixed-term assignment of 4 years, combined with permanent employment in your area of expertise.
